Cotswold Way – Chapter 7

We Walk from Old Sodbury to Cold Ashton on the Cotswold Way.

I read Chapter 7 of the Tao te Ching, translated by Steven Mitchell.

”The Tao is infinite, eternal.”

We visit the Church of Mary Magdalene in Tormarton.

This church has many ancient artifacts.

“Why is it eternal?”

I say a prayer for you.

“It was never born;
thus it can never die.”

“Why is it infinite?”

“It has no desires for itself;
thus it is present for all beings.”

We visit St. Peter’s Church in Dryham. I say a second prayer for you.

“The Master stays behind;
that is why she is ahead.”

“She is detached from all things;
that is why she is one with them.”

We look at the garden outside the church.

We hike on.

“Because she has let go of herself,
she is perfectly fulfilled.”

We hike on a busy highway.

Which church will be more powerful for you? Which prayer will be more effective? Is Mary Magdalene better than Saint Peter? Does one church have more powerful artifacts than the other? Who will be blessed and who will be denied a blessing?

There is a secret level in your life.

The mundane world is governed by forces beyond your understanding.

Look for the blessing and it will manifest.
